Color Workshop- David Hornung’s color workshop is based on his popular textbook, "Colour: a workshop for artists and designers." It’s a compressed version of the curriculum he developed while teaching at the Rhode Island School of Design. Classwork is designed to guide the student to a mastery of basic color terminology and principles. Students examine several ways of applying color theory in a series of small studies that evolve from specific assignments to “free studies” of their own design, aimed at integrating theory into practice. Painting experience is not needed and the workshop atmosphere is friendly and supportive.
